The CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt said  “you can expect an partnership with Zynga” in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. The CEO was reserved so we couldn’t find much about the future project.

For those who don’t know, Zynga is a leader in social-gaming with more than 230 million active users who are playing their games. Zynga is mostly recognized for games like: “FarmVille”, “Treasure Isle” and “Mafia Wars” (via Yahoo News) .

It is not certain when the social broaded service will be launched but in the interview with Wall Street Journal accorded a week ago, the Chief, Eric Schmidt said that the service will be called “Google ME”.

Another question which was asked was about the function of “Google ME” and if it will be similar to Facebook’s activity. Eric Schmidt said “the world doesn’t need a copy of the same thing.”

This is without a doubt the most important step of the search engine giant in social media area. Currently the most social advertising campaigns are bought on the major social networking such as: Facebook, Twitter INC and some few others.

Using the Google ME platform, online games developers will be able to increase their earnings just by selling advertising on their games. Currently, Facebook earns 30% of the earnings generated by games available on the social media website.

The most popular social game on Facebook is “FarmVille” which is a game created by Zynga. This is a market which generates lots of money in countries with a big population. Wall Street Journal says that in countries like China and Japan, online games generate billions of dollars in income. In USA, online games industry generated last year $700 million income which is a great value.

Google will benefit from this great opportunity and will charge the games developers using their existing service called Checkout.

Is Google’s Social Website a Threat for Facebook?

Thinking about the fact that Google’s search engine home has a 150 million visitors every month and lots more on country specific search engines I can say that it a big number of potential members. Google also has some very important websites which have members who create content and I have to include: Blogger, Orkut Social Service and many other websites which can represent a real threat.

On the other hand, Facebook has a community which started to increase it’s members since first days and now has over 500 million registered members. Also, Facebook has a “Like button” which was implemented in over 50,000 websites in the day it was launched.

Another point in the favor of Facebook is that Facebook has developed credibility and earned the respect of million of users world-wide.

The idea of creating Google Me will generate a huge competition between these 2 giants and the results I’m sure will manage to amaze all of us. Currently Google ranks 1 on Alexa ranking system with more than 150 million visitors monthly and Facebook ranks 2 with 124 million visitors according to Compete Statistics.

The agreement between Yahoo! Japan and the Google Search engine will be announced later this Tuesday. The Japanese search engine is 40% owned by Softbank Japan and 60% by the Yahoo! Company.

“We’ve been considering changing our search engine, and Google is one option,” Yahoo! Japan spokesman Toru Nagano told AFP, adding that “nothing official” had been decided.

This is without a doubt one of the most important deals that will affect almost the entire Japanese search market.

The Yahoo! Japan spokesman said “We’ve been using (US) Yahoo!’s search engine, called Yahoo! Search Technology, since 2004, But before that we used Google’s search engine. We changed our search engine a couple of times in the past.”

Starting this week on 30th July, Apple customers from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland will be able to put their hand on latest IPhone device.

Currently, Iphone 4 is available only for 5 countries: the U.S., the U.K., Germany, France, and Japan. Apple made the announcement about the world wide release of Iphone 4 at the annual worldwide developers conference (on macworld).

The next extension of Iphone 4 will grow starting 24th August when Apple will provide IPhone for 24 more countries.
